Waiting Patiently

Oh it doesn't seem like that long ago that lil Mason entered the world before we were ready.

So I think that everyone waiting on lil Averie thought she'd be here by now.

Everyday the past month I've been thinking she might show up.

She's making us wait.

Good things come to those who wait....

It's hard to remember this guy being so little.

What I do remember was that he was the perfect little handful.

oh and that his mom was pretty drugged up in the hospital, funny!!

I can't wait to hold his little sister.

And I can't wait to watch his momma be a momma to two children under 2 years old!
Hurry Up Averie, you've got a bunch of people that are anxiously awaiting your arrival!

I'm not sure what this little guy is going to think about being a big brother but I can't wait to find out.

The tree on Christmas Eve,
after Santa left some presents,
so pretty!
Sarah with her stocking goodies.

Jacob asked for a couple of lego games and this is one of them. He really wanted the Minotaurus game but was somewhat happy with this one. Little did he know later that day he would get the Minotaurus game from Aunt Emily.

Jacob and Sarah with two of their favorite things...

Jacob, opening up the gift that Sarah bought for him at Santa's Secret Shop. She picked it out all by herself and she was so excited. Look at her hands while he opens it and the look on her face is priceless....

Jacob and Sarah opening up their Ipod Nanos. I don't think they had a clue they were getting them. I had them charged and already had music on them. It was Jeremy's idea to get them
for them and I'd say they were the favorite gift.
Sarah with the doll she had to have. I am blogging this 3 days after Christmas and I'm pretty sure she hasn't played with her since that morning, figures.
Lalaloopsie doll was a big hit when she opened it but that was it....boooo
After we opened presents and had a delicious breakfast we all got in the car and headed up to Bay City to celebrate with our families...
When we got into Bay City we went right over to my dad and Lorraines apartment. We had some snacks and opened some presents.
When we were done we went over to my Aunt Sue's and visited with them. We drank some wine, did alot of reminicing, and laughed till our stomachs hurt. Jacob played with the boys and Sarah was bored out of her mind.
We spent the night at Nana and Papa's house.
When we got up in the morning Joel and his family came over and Emily and her family arrived from Kalamazoo.
Chris made both her boys ribbon shirts. I'm sure they will both be wearing them to the annual pow wow this summer. She did a beautiful job.
I finally got my Pandora bracelet and I LOVE IT!
Our family was so spoiled this year, how lucky we all are.

whats a party without a picture of Nathan with his mouth full of food...

Poor Jacob, all these girls....
and then there was time to play....

Finally everyone went home,
dog tired...

Sarah's School Christmas

Sarah's teacher decided to do a Holiday breakfast this year instead of the typical afternoon party full of junk. I volunteered to help so I was at school first thing in the morning. I didn't realize that with their morning announcments they do some sort of stretch or exercise.
This is Sarah and her bud Max doing morning exercise....
After morning announcments, while myself and the other parents were getting breakfast ready, the kids did their morning math.
Sarah and Max, after everyone had ate and I was getting ready to leave Sarah requested a picture with Max.

The Riverside Holiday program.
They have the program at First Wes church so there is enough room for all the parents and families.

Sarah is quite the singer. I am pretty sure I could pick her voice out of everyone else.
She really enjoys music class and her teacher, Ms. Champion.
(I almost forgot to add that Sarah said she felt like a disco ball in the pink dress. She said put a string around my neck and hang me from the ceiling...hmmm)

Christmas Eve recap

First of all Christmas Eve has always had something to do with celebrating my sister in law Emily's birthday. She is lucky enough to be born on December 24th. We usually meet up for an early lunch but this year her family and her came over a couple days earlier and we had some pizza and gave her her gifts. So even though we didn't see her on her birthday we were thinking of her anyways.

Christmas Eve in years past has always been spent with my mom, Grandma Turkey. This year she wasn't able to come home so we had to celebrate without her. It was tough not seeing her. I missed her a lot. But not only did I miss her but my kids did too. Both of them made comments about not seeing her and both said something about hoping next year she would be here.
So in honor of her we still opened our gifts from her when we got up.
She is pretty creative with her gift choices...
Jacob and Sarah both got dream catchers. ....

Sarah with her stocking goodies....

Jacob with his "jail" pajamas.....
Sarah with her Moxie dolls...
While we were opening presents the movie "Incredible Journey" was on tv.
Mya couldn't get to the tv to watch so she jumped up on the couch to get a better view.
Crazy dog!
We went to church at First Wes at 3 and when we came home the Couch family joined us...

We ate some yummy food and just enjoyed each others company.

The kids were so funny talking about Santa and when he would get to our houses.
Little Sarah was so excited she couldn't wait to go home so he could come to her house.
It was wonderful to have friends that are like family to spend the holiday with.
I missed my mom tremendously but having a bff to spend the evening with made it much easier.

Christmas deco 2010

I'm hoping to take more pictures yet this year but this is some favorites.

My favorite deer with his Christmas decor!
The purple tree is back. This isn't a very good picture but I totally love it. It is my favorite of all my Christmas decorations. Everything on the tree is gold, glittery, and gorgeous lol!!

I was invited to the Christmas Tea at Emily's church this year. She did a gift exchange and since her table theme was "Birds of a feather flock together" we all received bird ornaments.
Mine was PERFECT!!

Our family room tree, probably the smallest tree we've had in years. I didn't like it at first, too small. It's grown on me. I'm just not used to having to put a top on my tree. I prefer them when they look like they are busting through the ceiling to the upstairs. HAHA.
Jeremy likes the tree this year.

Santa at Harley???

Shopping at the Harley Davidson store for my mom and Terry this year we ran into the big guy himself, Santa.
Sarah was super excited to see him since we hadn't been to the mall to see him this year.
Jacob on the other hand, would rather not have to pretend that he's happy to see him.
"Please mom don't make me tell him what I want for Christmas!!"
They only hung out with him for a minute and then we moved on,
Jeremy to drool over bikes,
me to pick something out for Terry.
Personally I was ecstatic to run into Santa and I just happened to have my camera in my purse so I don't have to take Sarah to the mall AND I don't have to feel obligated to pay $25.00 for one wallet size photo.
Bonus:We also found a present for Terry!!

Christmas

I really dread thinking of the days when my kids will be too old and cool to hang out with each other and do things like decorate a gingerbread house. So for now I'm just pretending that we'll do this every year. When I got out the gingerbread house this year they both were very eager to decorate, YEAH!! They actually worked very good together.

Clearly Jacob was the one in charge. He told Sarah where to put all the candy. Surprisingly she listened. I think when I turned my back they were laughing and sneaking as much of the candy as they could. Hey they were having fun and I only have a couple more years of this, so I turned my back a lot.

Wouldn't be right without the goofy picture!

Birthday Florida trip

And so it starts....
Day 1, Hamburger Mary's...celebrating my birthday and of course Grandma's also... hence all the "Mary" titled drinks, in honor of grandma Borowy.
My Mary's MaiTai, holy crap was that strong.
A good start to the day!

Day Two, standing by Sams Beach bar...a fun looking place that I haven't been able to visit on my two visits to Hudson. We always have better bar to go to...

Celebrating my birthday!

The sisters.
Kathy, Rita, and Diane
My moms favorite bar to take out of town guests.
She picks great places.

I know this is funny to look at but being there and watching them with those glasses was the funniest think I've seen in a LONG time.
I was crying I was laughing so hard.
The glasses belonged to my grandpa and grandma.

Day 3, maybe. I can't keep track. This was the first stop on a day full of stops. This is where they swear the manatees swim by everyday at 10 and 4. HA yea right!

Although a little cold, we did take the convertible.

Hmmmm Aunt Kathy are you cold??

Diane and Kathy after a very long day....

I wish I could say that we saw these in the wild, but .....we didn't.

This is my favorite bar in Fl. It is a crazy insane nasty overwhelming place.
You have to go there to even understand it.

We spent quite awhile here.
Aunt Kathy thought that instead of going to 5 different bars and having a one drink at each that we should just sit at one and have 5 drinks, so we did. We had 5 yummy drinks and totally enjoyed the awesome scenery.

Aunt Kathy had a little nap....

Michelle made a new friend....
(yes this was inside the bar, along with the dog there was another dog, a parrot, a turkey, and some kitties running around).

When we left that last bar we needed a break.
Those 5 drinks hit us hard.

This was the perfect ending to this wonderful day!
4 wonderful ladies that I'm lucky to have in my life...
An unforgettable trip of a lifetime.
I'm so thankful I was able to go....
even though they all lied and said we were going to Disney and plotted against me and we never got to go...
