These girls...

I've known these girls for over 20 years,

we were on the pom pom squad together.

We've laughed together, cried together, partied together, became moms together, grown up together, camped together, got drunk together, slept together, and sometimes I go months and months without seeing them but when I see them again I feel like I'm 18 again.

All three of them are the most amazing women.

Michelle just became a mommy after not knowing if she would be a mommy for so long. And seeing her with her baby girl I know that there was a reason it took her so long to decide. She needed to be at this point in her life to have this special girl because she is the most amazing mom.

Jen is a mom to three children and a mom that does it all. I'm not at her house and I'm sure she has those bad days but I'm guessing on the majority of days there is playdoh, baking, outdoor playing, experimenting, going on bike rides and walks, and being the queen of stay at home moms.

Anne is the momma hen. She has two beautiful girls. I'm amazed at her ability to keep an eye on both little girls and still be the keeper of all of us. She was born to be a mom, born to keep us all in line.

These are the girls that when I don't see them for a year and we get together again, within minutes I feel like I just saw them yesterday. I know I've missed out on many things in their lives, just like they have in mine but I know they're there and they always will be. They are the ones that knew me in those awful high school years, they knew me when I was young and careless and an idiot making stupid decisions.

I didn't have any sisters but these girls are the closest I had and I love each one of them like they were my sister. I look forward to the years ahead, the camping trips and the reunions.

Before we know it we'll be going to each others kids weddings ugh!!! And then becoming grandmas together, yeah!!

An early Easter

We went up to Essexville for an early Easter celebration this year.

Mom and Dad are going on their dream trip to Hawaii so they won't be here on Easter.

The ladies The attempt at a grandchild photo, where's Nathan?
Everyone move over to the wagon so Nathan will get in the photo.

I took 5 photos, every one of them his eyes are closed, haha.
Papa taking it all in.....
The "hunt"

searching for eggs....
Jacob helping Nathan out.

I love the two of them together.

Nathan really looks up to Jake, and Jake usually likes to be his buddy.

Checking out her eggs, she loved the one filled with pennies!!
Jacob trying to make some trades.
Aunt Emily did a great job "helping" the bunny fill the eggs this year.
I love this picture.

I love that he is 11 and still loves an Easter egg hunt.

I still just want to kiss his cheeks, he would be very embarrassed if he knew I said that.

I think I'm going to tell him anyways!!

38 going on getting old

Jeremy celebrating his 38th birthday!

Very low key birthday this year. We had cake and ice cream in Essexville with the family.

On his actual birthday we stayed home, had spagetti and cupcakes.

Whoa big partiers we are!

Seems like only yesterday we were in high school together. Can't believe I've been with this man for 20 yrs. Happy Birthday Jeremy

Easter crafts

I'm kind of disappointed in the blogs this season. I would've thought there would be more Easter/spring ideas. Theres still time, 16 days till Easter.

My April calendar....

Ugh, I don't like this months calendar at all. But by the time I realized I was going to hate it I already had most of the pieces cut out and I didn't want to redo it. It's just too busy for me. I got the idea from one of the blogs I read. Hers looked more organized even though I pretty much copied it, so I'm not sure why I don't like it. She didn't put all the dates on it and she didn't use the days of the week. This really outta confuse Sarah when she's trying to figure out what day it is. One thing I know, I need a square cookie sheet. The circle one just makes it too small.
Another topiary, with cupcake liners....
and then the Peep topiary, I love it. I might make a pink one with the pink bunny peeps.

Frankenmuth

Shopping in Frankenmuth on Sunday.

We needed a break from the pool and hotel so we went downtown Frankenmuth.

Other than the snow we had a lot of fun.

Since Jeremy, April, and Mike all have birthdays in April they all got free dinners at Zehnders.

Yummy!!

Other than the puke in the pool on the first day we were there we had a great time. lol We shopped a lot of the day on Saturday and spent the second half of it swimming and hanging at the hotel.

We had an issue with the fridge in the room so we were able to have room service on Sunday night "on the house". Awesome!!

It was a great weekend spent with some great friends.

The Easter Tree

The novelty has worn off.

But now I have a tree in my living room to decorate.

There really isn't any place to store it so I get to decorate it for all the holidays.

I'm working on the next one, Ive decided to do a summer/pink flamingo tree.

Oh yea I'm so cool, lmaoooo
