Celebrities

I'm going to CA. I'm having some anxiety. I plan everything. When we take vacations I know what everyone is wearing, where we are eating, and what time we're starting our day. Ok, who am I kidding....the only place we ever go is Disney. So this trip to CA isn't even close to that same thing. But still there has been no planning, NONE. Well none on my part. I'm sure that G & C have made some plans, right? Surely they've thought about what we're gonna do? Right? Honestly I'm sure it will be fine, cause I'm gonna see all kinds of famous people, right? It's CA for goodness sake, thats where all the stars are, right?
So that being said Mesha and I have started to compile a list of who I would like to see while in CA. Her list and my list are very different I must say...

My list
1. Kenny Chesney never mind that he lives in some tropical wonderland on his boat all day long, surely he'll need to be in CA for something, right?
2. Keifer Sutherland nevermind that his show has been cancelled and he's probably in Canada somewhere crying in his beers. I like beer.

3. Jimmie Johnson, nevermind that his wife is about to pop out a baby and the week that I'm there it's their "off" week and he'll be sitting at home pampering his honey. I can dream.
4. Anybody from Criminal Minds, duh cause I love that show. They do fly all over in that cool plane so maybe they'll be at LAX when we land.
5. Mr. Shu, and yup I'd call him Mr. Shu.
6. Justin Bieber, cause Sarah would think I was soooo cool.

7. Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, David Nail, Toby Keith, and of course Keith Urban. No explanation needed.

8. Lets throw some ladies in there....Courtney Cox, Reese Witherspoon, Rachael McAdams, Julia Stiles, Chelsea Handler, and Carrie Underwood.

9. Daniel Craig, but only if he is in his tiny swim shorts, so that probably isn't going to happen.

10. Gerald Butler, cause I need to know if his lip is really crooked or if only gets that way in the movies. Well that and he is hot and April would really like my picture with him.

11. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, but they have to be together cause the two of them in Wedding Crashers can make me laugh anyday.

12. Renee Zellweger, cause she's an idiot and if she screws things up with Bradley Cooper like she did with Kenny then theres your proof that she's gay and I really need to slap her upside the head. haha man I'm cracking myself up.

Mesha's list
1. Snoop Dog or Dr. Dre

2. David Hasselhoff
3. Danny Bonaduce
4. Gary Busey and/or Nick Nolte, aren't they the same person???
5. Emmanuel Lewis, although neither of us is sure if he is still alive, RIP if he isn't.

6. Screech, or any other Saved By the Bell alumni.

So as you can see the list differ quite a bit.

I know deep down in my heart that not a celebrity will be sighted and that will be ok.

I plan to go with the flow
I plan to relax and have lots of fun

Thats my plan.

Dance 2010

In His Steps Dance Recital 2010

Very Proud Mama

Cousins~Sarah was VERY happy that all her cousins were able to be there this year to watch her dance.

Number 2 Proud Mama

Even her cousin Chase was able to be here this year. Chase and Aunt Allison spent the weekend with us.

Shhhh don't tell anybody, her "favorite" cousin Elizabeth. Hopefully they'll be in dance together next year!!

I feel very lucky to have had all this family at Sarah's recital. I get homesick for family alot. I miss being close to family. When it counts I know I can count on them. They all helped to make Sarah feel special on this special night.
So to any of you that were there that night and may be reading this Thank you from the bottom of my heart. It means a lot that you took time out of your busy lives to be there for Sarah.

ARGH!!

I hate this room.
Our main water pipe was leaking.
You can see the water.
The carpet is ALL wet.

This isn't the first time it's flooded.
We have too much crap.
All this crap in this room......

(same room different angle)
yes lots of crap

is the crap from the red room (flooded room)
This might be gross,
but have you ever had wet clothes
in a bag that you might have forgot
about and they sat in that
bag for a few days, hmmm maybe
a week....
you know the stench when you open
the bag......thats what it smells like when
open the front door to my house.
Coconut Lime scentsy no more.
This would be a new scent titled
"wet stench"
and Im pretty sure no one would
buy it.

A lemonade stand...finally!

Sarah has been bugging me since last summer to have a lemonade stand. Two reasons I avoided it...

1. It's a big hassle. We had to drag out the table and three chairs. They had to make a sign. I had to make the lemonade. I had to find cups, and not the big solo beer keg cups (you know how much lemonade it takes to fill one of those up.
2. I had a lemonade stand when I was little. I still remember. I went through all the above hassle. By myself, my mom didn't help. I only sold three cups. How very disappointing to a young girl. I would wave and show my sign. I would yell "Lemonade for sale"and nobody stopped. NOBODY, my mom bought the three cups that I sold.
So in my defense I didn't want that for Sarah and the two sweet neighbor girls.

That didn't happen to these girls. They worked sooo hard. And they had so much fun. These three little girls took advantage of every storm gawker (in case you didn't know, a tornado touched down about 3 blocks from our house on Sat. night and there was a lot of damage) that drove down our road. Can you believe they made about $30.00.

How does that happen?

Really ...I'm ashamed that I didn't let her do it sooner.

zoo

Sarah's 1st grade Binder Park Zoo trip......

We fed the goats......
We wanted to feed the birds......

We fed the giraffes......

the oh so cute giraffes...

and the giraffes licked our faces, gross!

More Memorial Day

On Saturday after the bike parade, we headed into South Haven to have some lunch and do some shopping. We had our annual lunch at Clementines...very good.

Then we shopped. This is at one of the stores in the doorway that you walk in. Sarah planted herself on this bench and waved at everyone walking in the store. She would say "Hello, Welcome to Props" haha

After a long day of window shopping, ice cream eating, and book browsing, we headed back to the campsite for yummy smoes (thats what we call them now).

Sunday we went to the beach. The Brack family joined us. The kids had a great time playing in the water. Me, not so much, toooooo cold!

Cold for Jacob too, he played in the sand most of the time. Sarah would've stayed in the water till she turned blue.

Sunday night we had thunder and lightning but no rain. Jeremy and I got up at about 3 am to put things away and make sure that nothing got soaked. We went back to bed and it never rained. Kind of nice to hear the thunder but have no rain!!

Happy Memorial Day 2010, sorry so late!

We spent Memorial Day at Van Buren State Park in South Haven. It was a great weekend. The weather was hot but not unbearable. The kids did the annual bike parade. This year they had a flag ceremony and 21 gun salute to go along with the parade.

The kids all dressed up for the parade.

Robin's Nest

Look what we found! A robins nest. I love the color of the little blue egg, Robin's Egg Blue, isn't that a crayola color???

The nest was just outside our sliding glass door on our porch. There were 5 babies. I'm sure the mother didn't enjoy all the photos I took.
Really not so cute!

I had to stand on a stool to get all the pictures. And everytime I would hold the camera over the nest to get a picture they would all sit up and open their mouths.

I still kinda wish I wouldve tossed an M& M in one of their mouths to see what would happen.

People asked if they were loud. To be honest I never heard them chirp once, not even the mom. Well the mom did one time when I was taking pictures and she dive bombed me. Hey they were her babies after all.

The kids liked watching them grow everyday, who am I kiddin I loved seeing them grow everyday. I couldn't wait to see them fly off on their own.

This is the last picture that I was able to get of the Robins. We went away for Memorial Day weekend and our house sitter said they flew away one by one. Luckily she was watching them for me because one of them fell out right in front of Mya, our Golden Retriever, and she had to rescue it. Most days Myas a good dog but she'll eat anything so that wouldve been one short life for that little birdie.
So I'm kinda sad now...we have an empty nest.
