Our first horse show

We spent Saturday at a horse show at the Allegan County fairgrounds. My cousin Michelles girls were showing and Sarah was very interested. We almost didn't go cause my cousin and one of the girls were sick with the flu. When I told Sarah we might not go she said "please mom I really want to go see the horses". She loves to be around the horses. She was able to ride when we visited the barn but thats the only time she's ever been on a horse. She has not asked again to have a ride and she hasn't mentioned lessons or anything to me. I don't think that she thinks its even an option and right now Im ok with that. What an expensive hobby!
We had fun and she already asked when we can go back to another one....hmmmm

Mya's Doggie treat

Continental Bakery makes a doggie sundae.
It's only $1 and it's pretty big.

Mya thought she was in doggie heaven the other night when we brought one home for her.
She pushed the bowl all around the kitchen while she was scarfing it down.

Sarah was pretty impressed that she ate it in like 10 seconds.

big dreams

I WANT THIS BADLY!!
A Coach beachbag, seriously I need one.

Mason montage

So here's my little buddy. He had shots on this day.
Poor buddy.
He was sad in his class.
So I saved him...

And gave him some m & m's,
they always help me feel better
we were sneaky...

Uh oh, is mom coming?

Hurry eat them before we get caught!!

Holding the paci in one hand and shoveling in m&ms with the other.
Sitting on Ms. Nicole's desk eating m&ms's always makes Mason feel better.

This pic was taken simply to show that his mom doesn't always remember to pack him extra clothes at school and sometimes we have to dig through the lost and found for some clothes.
Believe me I've thought about keeping an outfit for him in my office but you can only push favoritism so far.

And this one was to show that our little Mason loves to play in the dirt, sometimes eat it, sometimes roll in it.
How can he still be so cute with dirt and snot all over his face, I don't know!

And finally our little eater. If you let your tray get to close to him at lunch sometimes he just takes it. One can never have too much corn or rib patty at lunchtime. This was definitely a two tray day.

school clothes

whew what a day!

Taking Jacob and Sarah school clothes shopping isn't like it used to be.

Sarah's stash

Jacobs stash to the left...

This is the first year that they HAD to go with me.

They are both kind of in between sizes so they had to try things on.

Yes I said try things on!!

Booooooo

Jacob must've tried on 10 pairs of pants before we figured out what size to buy him.

Sarah wanted to try everything on in the store, and don't even get me started about all the CRAP that they have in the stores for girls her age.
Here's the outcome,
Jacob
2 pair of shoes
4 pair of jeans
a belt
package of underwear, haha
3 long sleeve shirts
2 short sleeve shirts
2 sweatshirts
Sarah
1 pair of jeans
1 pair of Khakis
1 pair of capris
4 pair of shoes
1 dress
2 pair of leggins
3 short sleeve shirts
2 long sleeve shirts
Nicole
1 great big headache cause we're not done yet, haven't even bought school supplies yet!!

It's a girl!

I'm sooooo happy.

It's a girl.

See the pink frosting in the middle, I'm so happy and relieved!!

I was worried, I thought it was a boy.
Did I mention I'm so happy it's going to be a girl.

Not that I can't or wouldn't love a boy, but I love Mason so much how could I possibly love another Morales boy any more. I know when it's your own baby they say "don't worry there's enough love to go around, it's your own baby of course you'll love it as much"

But what happens if its not your own baby.

What happens when the first Morales baby is a precious, spoiled rotten, smart, adorable, lovable baby boy with an awesome gap between his front teeth that makes me smile and I don't think there could be another
.
And that is why I am soooo happy that it's going to be a girl.
I can find plenty of room in my heart for a Morales baby girl.
She's going to have lily white skin like her mama, and beautiful big eyes, with dark hair and I'm hoping for curls. She's going to wear lots of pink and she's going to give my precious Morales baby boy Mason a run for his money.
I can't wait to meet her.
Congratulations David and Kelli!

John Ball Zoo 2010

My favorite zoo

Big Mike, not from the movie Blindside, the alligator.

He was HUGE, and didn't move a muscle the whole time we were there.

Seconds before the brown goat started to chew Sarah's dress. SO funny, she pulled away and ran. Her dress was wet but luckily no holes.

Petting the stingrays.
Sarah was a little leery but Jacob was all for it.
They are so soft and smooth.
Sarah did finally check it out and agreed how cool they were.
HOT
They needed sno cones to cool them off. Blue flavored so they could have blue lips!

Not sure what breed of animal this was, but I liked his mane.

Then there was the monkey's. My favorite!

Can you spot the monkey in this picture?

Jacob's picture taking skills.

I have a picture of Jacob somewhere when he was little with these same penguins. I'll have to see if I can find it.
We had a great day. It was very warm but not too hot.
It was a fun family day that we all really enjoyed.

Summer fun

Jacob went fishing for the first time with my mom while they were staying up at the cabin. He had never been before so he was super excited not only to fish but also to actually catch fish.
Lots of time on the boat and in the water can make a girl crazy.

Grandma Turkey, Terry, Jake and Sarah
I know they don't look very happy but we were getting ready to leave and they weren't all that happy to go. They had a wonderful time.

JEALOUS??

ALL MINE!

MMMM not really, I do have to share them.
We'll have pickles all year.
And the best part, they are delicious.
I'm so proud of Jeremy.
He's the family pickle maker.
On a side note: When I walked into April's house after they had made these I had a slap of nostalgia. It smelled exactly like my Grandma Borowy's house smelled all the time. The dill smell took me back to her house in Pinconning. She canned all the time and she grew pickles and dill in her garden that my grandpa took care of. Awesome memories!!
