Labor Day 2011

Not a whole lot to write about Labor Day.

A small group this year, but very peaceful and relaxing.

We did tube on Saturday and it was fun.

The kids hung out together and played all weekend.

The gals made a trip to West Branch to the outlets.

Poker, Beer bottle frisbee, and campfire Jenga were played.

It was a great last camping weekend of the year.

Kenny 2011

Well since I forgot my camera at the hotel, this is the only concert photo I took.

Something tells me that was meant to happen.

Nothing could beat the pictures I got last year and really I don't think I could scrap any more Kenny photos.

However, I could've gotten some amazing tailgating photos. The ones I have are from my phone.

Ashley and Kassie named this pelican, Nicole. No not after me but after their friend Nicole that was supposed to be with us but couldn't come because of a family emergency.

They preceded to take photos of the pink guy all day and send them to her. I don't know how she felt about it but that wouldve just made me more sad to be missing it.

I love where we tailgate. This was our third year in this lot. A lot of the same people come here year after year. We get in the lot at about 10-11 ish and stay all day. Yes we start that early and don't stop all day.

That must be why we fall into bed the instant we get back to the hotel. I fell asleep waiting for the pizza this year.

This is our annual photo of "Tim" as in Tim McGraw. The first year we saw him he was hot.

He looked just like Tim McGraw, black jeans white tshirt and boots. The tshirt would come off half way through the day and he just looked very nice lol.

Well apparently time and well I'm not sure what else have caught up to "Tim". I'm thinking he's let himself go a bit. This year we got a wife beater tshirt and sandals and not just sandals but sandals with SOCKS!!

The funniest part of the story is that my mom loves him. She always flirts with him and gets several pictures with him. Last time she was harrassing him by slapping him on his butt everytime he walked by. So this year when we saw him I told him "Tim, my mom couldn't come this year. And my mom LOVES you" to which "Tim" replied "I love your mom too"

I think good times were had by all, we have big plans for next year. Some of which include more people (KELLI AND MESHA) and a blow up pool!!

Ashley won the tailgating kit and we listened to some good new artists. It was really fun and a great start to the weekend. I think we will definitely be going again next year.

I'm hoping for better concert seats, and some backstage passes....hey a girl can dream can't she!!

Why am I even surprised to find these kind of photos on my camera after she begs to go get a picture of something she really needs to take a photo of.

Forever Friends

We didn't have the nicest weather weekend but I think it was the best weekend we've had together in a long time.

This was a brief moment of sunshine on Saturday. We usually go to the beach or canoe on Saturday but this year it was just too cloudy/rainy/stormy. We had delicious meals and good drinks and about 22 bottles of Boones Farm.

On Saturday we headed down to the beach for our yearly group photo. The guys are never too excited about this moment but they usually cooperate for a minute or two.

I think the highlight this year was playing asshole. Jen got very creative with her demands. Michelle picked the best sites we've ever had and now she gets the job for all the years to come.

I just love these girls, their husbands too. What a smart, fun, creative, important, caring, hilarious, wonderful group of people we are. I hope this continues for years and years to come.

Tawas, 2011

Blueberry Picking

This was in the beginning before we were so hot that we thought we were going to melt.

Apparently it was too hot to pick blueberries.

Too bad cause there were tons of blueberries and they were so good.

It didn't take long to pick a bucket full.

Sarah wimped out with Emily's kids but Jake hung in there and picked a lot.

Sarah picked enough to say she went blueberry picking but thats about it.

In her defense she did cut her foot on something so that ended the fun of picking.

I didn't even think about shoes and both her and I were wearing flip flops, dumb I know.

After they suffered through picking, we went to another blueberry farm and got blueberry ice cream. It was delicious.

Natalie insisted on having two scoops like everyone else and shortly after this picture was taken she gave up her cone to her mom, she just couldn't eat anymore.

So one more thing crossed off our summer bucket list.

Note to self: only blueberry pick early in the morning or on cool days, and wear tennis shoes or snake boots!

Beach

Saturday we took a trip to South Haven.

I had been wanting to go to the beach and the day was perfect for it.

The kids were super excited to go.

I absolutely love this picture of Jacob.

He is so handsome.

He has grown up so much in the last 6 months.

I can't believe how sweet he can be. He is so helpful around the house.

He is trying out for football this year and I can't even wrap my brain around the fact that he is old enough to play. I look forward to watching his games.

Sometimes I just want to pinch those cute cheeks.

She is so busy, and talkative.

She loves the beach and the water and being outside.

The water was beautiful. Just cold enough to be refreshing but not freezing.

I wish we could've stayed longer. And I can't wait to go again.

I think Sarah was in the water the whole time we were there.

She's a fish, no fear. And she's become a great swimmer.

Keith, again

This is how the night started....no this isn't the two girls falling into bed after the concert, this is the two girls trying to make their bed before we left for the concert....they were having some issues.

Awesome food, and thank God it was really loud in there.

Because we had to listen to Brittany talk loudly about being the number #1 mom. haha

We had no idea what she was talking about.

Safe to say she had a great time.

And April my oh my where did you get that fantastic necklace??

Our seats weren't great, honestly they sucked.

But really in Van Andel there really isn't a bad seat.

We were in what I like to call the nosebleed section.

I am very thankful for the video screen behind him. It was very clear and he looked beautiful!!

He came out into the middle of the floor on a tiny little stage. Yes I know if I had agreed to let Mesha buy the floor seats way in the back we would've been pretty dang close to him.

It's my fault, I'm a dumb a**.

I had a wonderful time.

I would go see him again right now.

I do think he is better in concert then Kenny.

If you are only picking one concert to go to, this is the concert you should pick!!
